teaching & tutoring
Hi! I'm Arielle! I am:
-
a certified teacher (in K-5 and middle school math, but I also spent the '24-'25 school year subbing for 9th grade algebra, so that's all fresh as well)
-
also an expert in punctuation, parts of speech, etc, so can help there too!
-
big on patience, fun, creativity, and a drive for that "aha!" moment
-
an AuDHDer who understands that all brains work differently

I have over ten years of both formal and informal education experience: substitute teaching (short-term and long-term), children's museum education, children's specialist at an independent bookstore, individual tutoring, group tutoring, leading after-school programs, and a lifetime of just being excited about numbers.

I know a lot of people (both kids and adults!) are scared of math and feel they just aren't good at it, but I think they just haven't had the right teacher yet. I want to be that person! Sometimes you just have to come at a problem from a different direction; we get so caught up in what we're "supposed" to be doing, that we forget we're "allowed" to try to see it it a different way.

I'm located in central NJ, and sessions are virtual for everyone's convenience. We can also discuss in-person meetings if necessary (and possible).
-
1 hour session: $70
-
1.5 hour session: $105
